Read moreA tradition more than eight decades in the making continued last Tuesday when Plainview HCE hosted the Senior Tea for Kingfi sher High School’s senior girls. The event was held at The Gathering in downtown Kingfisher and nearly three dozen young women were addressed by Dr. Juanita Krittenbrink (pictured on the right in the inset photo along with Plainview HCE President Debbie Winters). She delivered the message of “Get up, dress up and show up!” Plainview HCE members greeted and welcomed the seniors, who were also served a variety of refreshments. This was the 82nd year for the Senior Tea. Seniors attending this year were, from left: front row, Mia Franco, Emily Warren, Laci Maggard, Isabella Mayberry, Emily Altizer, KC Ortega, Avery Stutts and Mia Hartman; middle row, Mylene Jones, Alondra Ortega, Angela Munoz, Addison Willson, Bianca Garcia, Ariana Rivera, Kamryn Purintun, Karen Munoz, Natalia Orta, Terry Ann McCully, Lyndsi Moyeda and Aryne Bollenbach; and back row, Brooke Barton, Taygen Otey, Ava Barrett, Emiley Watkins, Natalie Garrett, Talor Mecklenburg, Kadyn Daugherty, Hailey Bieren, Ana Marquez, Vanessa Jaramillo, Keira Laudwig, Adah Anderman and Hannah Borelli. Pictured top left is the animal science quiz bowl team of, from left, Jayson Helderman, Emily Altizer, Jozie Loewen and Robert Barnett that placed third. The ag power and technology team (top right) consisting of, from left, Brody Davis, Kody Pennwright, Asher Lawrence and Hayden Todd, placed fifth. Pictured in the middle on the left is the ag one quiz bowl team. Members, from left, Carson Swafford, Ryan Scammahorn, Haley Yost, Brylea Smith and Sloan Merrill placed seventh in their competition.
