Read moreDYW OF KINGFISHER COUNTY – The title of Distinguished Young Woman of Kingfisher County now belongs to Kamryn Purintun. The Kingfisher High School junior was announced as the winner during the 57th scholarship program held last Sunday at the Heritage School Auditorium. Purintun won a $1,000 scholarship to go along with the title. She also was announced as the winner of the Scholastic Achievement Award and a $500 scholarship for that honor. Angela Muñoz, also of KHS, was the first runner-up and was one of two winners of the Johanna Adams Spirit Award along with Addison Willson of KHS. Willson was also named the Fitness Award winner. Aryne Bollenbach of Kingfisher won the Be Your Best Self Award and Brooke Barton of KHS the Self Expression Award. Dover’s Hadlee Bryan won the Talent Award and Hennessey’s Marisol Valles the Interview Award. Scholarships were awarded for each individual category. [Photo provided]
