Read moreEYES ON THE PRIZE – While it was the first day of the fall season for some fall sports, Monday also marked the first day football teams could start practicing statewide. Kingfisher junior Carter Stephenson is pictured hauling in a pass during that first practice. Teams are only allowed to practice without pads for the first four days before donning the pads on Friday. Kingfi sher has its first scrimmage Aug. 22 at Oklahoma Christian School and then Aug. 28 at Perkins before opening the season Sept. 5 at Weatherford.
