Read moreKingfisher High School basketball players raise yet another gold ball on the State Fair Arena floor. The Yellowjackets claimed the 2022 Class 4A state championship last Saturday with their 51-43 victory over Victory Christian. The title is the third straight for KHS and the fourth overall. KHS has played in every 4A state championship game since 2017 as it won the title that year as well as 2019 and 2021. The Jackets were runners-up in 2018 and no tournament was played in 2020. This year’s team finished 28-1, which matched the program’s best record. The story on the championship game can be found on Page 1B.
