HENNESSEY HIGH SCHOOL junior Emma Copeland was all grit and determination as she closed the final stretch of the Class 2A girls cross country meet last Saturday. Copeland passed Comanche’s Brilee Combs, right, in the final 25 meters to place 13th out of 135 runners. Her individual finish earned her all-star status and it helped lead Hennessey to fifth place in the team standings.
