The requirements included a minimum of a 24 on the ACT. Mecklenburg is a KHS valedictorian. He is a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, was listed on the superintendent’s honor roll and was joined by Kitchens on a pair of academic state championship basketball teams. Kitchens was also listed on the superintendent’s honor roll all four years and has been inducted into both the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society. On the court, the two were a part of Class 4A state championship teams in 2021 and 2022 and the Yellowjackets were state semifinalists in 2023.
