Slezickey resigns as city manager
Accepts same position at The Village
Kingfisher City Manager Dave Slezickey tendered his resignation to city officials on Wednesday morning, he confirmed with the Times & Free Press.
Slezickey has accepted the same position at The Village, a community of about 9,600 people in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
He informed City of Kingfisher staff and commission members of his decision beginning Wednesday morning.
Slezickey's contract with the city calls for him to provide 90 days' notice.
He was hired by Kingfisher in May 2012. He is also in his 26th year serving in the Army National Guard where he hold the rank of comand sergeant major.
