Clark D. Rother
Clark Daniel Rother of Okarche passed away peacefully on the evening of Dec. 1, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
Clark was born on Nov. 4, 1963, in Okarche. He was the cherished son of Ed and Carol Rother, growing up on the values of hard work, community and faith that he carried throughout his life.
Clark attended the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity. He received his bachelor’s of business administration in finance in 1986.
He began his career in the oil and gas industry with Scout Energy under the tutelage of Jim Hutchinson.
Clark was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club and the American Association of Professional Landmen.
He has served as president, vice president, secretary and treasurer of the Oklahoma City Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Clark had a personality that was larger than life. He was deeply loved by so many people.
For many years Clark cared for his uncles. He worked tirelessly to take care of so many things for his family.
He was also deeply involved in the Okarche community, always ready to lend a hand, offer support or simply show up for the people who needed him.
Clark dedicated much of his life to overseeing operations of his family farm and ranching operation, where his work ethic, leadership and commitment shaped his daily life.
Clark raised his son Wyatt Schrader with his former wife Cindy Rother.
Clark was honored to be a father for Wyatt and stepfather to Alex and Jake Hall and Abigail Thomas.
Clark faced a courageous battle with metastatic cancer, meeting every stage with resilience, dignity and faith. His strength during this journey was an inspiration to all who walked beside him.
Clark will be remembered for the deep love he held for his family, friends and community and his wry sense of humor that was evident even in his last days.
His absence leaves a quiet but immeasurable void and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Clark is survived by his parents, Ed and Carol Rother; his son, Wyatt Schrader; his sister, Amy Lucas and husband Don; his sister, Cheryl Manley; his brother, Karl Rother and wife Mary; his nieces and nephews Andrew Manley and wife Hailey, Austin, Carter, Mason and Ella Manley, Ryan and Morgan Lucas, Casey Gardner and wife Zoey Gardner; grand-nephew Adler Gardner and grandniece Brixley Hayes.
Clark was godfather to Austin, Mason and Ella Manley.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, V. F. and Patronella Rother and B.K. and Isabel Rein; his aunt Virgina Simpson; and uncles Gerald, Harold, Vince and Herman Rother.
Services for Clark will be at Holy Trinity Church in Okarche. The wake was 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, and Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, with Reverend Monsignor Donald Wolf, Reverend Zachary Boazman and Deacon Max Schwarz officiating.
Burial was at Holy Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
