    VETERAN — Harvey ‘Bud’ West, Jr

Harvey (Bud) West Jr. was born June 22, 1948, to Harvie and Irene West in Leavenworth, Kan.

He departed this life on May 22, 2020, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 71.

Bud married the love of his life, Vickie Stewart, on Jan. 1, 1974, and together they had three daughters and six grandkids.

Bud served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a truck driver for 30 years.

He loved woodworking like his father as well as barbecues with his family. Bud loved his community and never met a stranger.

He was a member of Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed sharing the gospel with everyone.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Barbara Stevens, Deloris Redwine and Hazel Mullins.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie West; three daughters and sons-in-law, April and Brandon Brock, Shannon and Bradley Logan, Jessica and Matthew Blackwood; his grandchildren Madison, Brayden, Isaiah, Kennedy, Reagan and Eleanor; two sisters, Darlene Brown and Midge McAlvain; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He loved all dearly.

A visitation for Bud West will be held at Sanders Funeral Service in Kingfisher from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 27. Due to current restrictions, the funeral home requests no more than 10 visitors at one time.

Funeral service will be held at Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28. Interment will follow at

Interment will follow at Kingfisher Cemetery with military tribute under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
