Kenneth ‘Ken’ Hill
Kenneth “Ken” Lee Hill, 70, of Kingfisher, passed away in peace Sunday, March 10, 2019, at his home.
Ken was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Okeene to George William and Mary Bell (Dodson) Hill. He graduated from Okeene High School in 1966. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Rose State College, earning degrees in general science and as a laboratory technician.
Ken served his country in the National Guard for six years. He was a hard worker and was employed for 21 years by Mercy Hospital Kingfisher and enjoyed the camaraderie of his co-workers.
He was an avid OU Sooner fan and enjoyed watching the Oklahoma City Thunder play basketball. He liked to spend his free time with family, traveling, hunting quail with his bird dogs, and fishing.
He loved drinking coffee and listening to country music. His laugh was contagious and he never met a stranger.
Ken is survived by his long-time companion, Theresa Homier; son Matthew Wayne Hill and wife Misty and grandkids Callum, Colton, Bella, Jaclynn, and baby Cannon (currently in production); son Chad Hill and grandkids Rand, Finn, and Scout; daughter Lindsey Bunch and fiancé Chad Brandt and grandkids Reagan, Cambrey, Braxton and Briggs; Theresa’s children, that he loved as his own, daughter Tara Leniger and fiancé Chris Olson and grandkids Zavier, Alex and Hunter; daughter Sharla Garvin and husband Scott and grandkids Dylan, Dawson, Allison and Hannah; son Brad and Julie Homier and grandkids Brayden and Braxton; his three brothers, David Hill, Richard Hill and Wesley Hill.
He will be missed by countless other family and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Hill.
A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Sanders Funeral Chapel, 124 E. Broadway, Kingfisher.
Burial will follow at Immanuel Cemetery in Loyal.
