Kinlee Marie Denton, a vibrant soul cherished by all who knew her, passed away March 16, 2024, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 15.

Born May 17, 2008, to her parents, Kevin and Lorie Denton, Kinlee’s light shined brightly from the moment she entered this world.

Kinlee’s journey began in Texas before her family made their home in Kingfi sher.

Throughout her life, Kinlee embraced every moment with boundless enthusiasm and an adventurous spirit.

She attended Scott Elementary and Scoggins Middle School in Frisco, Texas, and after moving to Oklahoma she attended Cashion High School and Kingfisher High School.

An avid lover of sports, Kinlee’s passion for soccer, basketball and volleyball knew no bounds.

She eagerly served as the manager for the football team, showcasing her dedication and love for the game.

Despite her athletic pursuits, Kinlee remained true to her femininity, delighting in the art of pampering herself with meticulously-done lashes, nails and hair.

Kinlee was crowned the Kingfisher sophomore homecoming queen in 2023.

Kinlee was a shining star in everything she did, achieving numerous awards and accolades throughout her life.

She received the “Sweet and Sassy” award in fifth grade, a testament to her infectious charm and vibrant personality.

She was also a member of the Student Council.

Faith played a significant role in Kinlee’s life, nurtured through her involvement in the youth group and church camps.

She grew up in the children’s ministry at Cottonwood Creek Church, where she was baptized alongside her brother, Carter, in July 2017.

Kinlee’s journey with faith continued as she rededicated her life to the Lord and was baptized again at Hawaiian Falls Water Park in June 2021.

She found solace and strength in her spiritual community, attending Falls Creek with Perry First Baptist Church. Kinlee’s zest for life extended beyond sports; she enjoyed fishing, adored music and cherished spending time with her family and friends.

She had a free spirit, never hesitating to seize the day and make the most of every moment.

Kinlee’s love for animals, particularly horses, was evident as she took joy in caring for them whenever her family moved to Kingfisher.

Kinlee’s warm heart and infectious laughter touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She never met a stranger and was a friend to many, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and joy.

Kinlee is survived by her parents, Kevin and Lorie Denton; her siblings, Kylee Denton, Cooper Denton and Carter Denton; her Papa and Mimi, Allen and Teresa McHam; uncles Tommy Copley and Terry Copley; and numerous other beloved family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Regina Ann Devore, and uncle, Jerry Devore.

A celebration of Kinlee’s life was Thursday, March 21, at the Kingfisher High School APB.

Services were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home – Kingfisher.
