Linda Burpo
Linda Burpo, known for her compassion and resilience, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, with her loving and devoted husband by her side.
Linda was born Feb. 13, 1952, in Anderson, Ind., the daughter of the late Doyle McDonald and Bonnie Hunter.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Tim Burpo; her sister, Cindy Rice; her brother, Ronnie Potee; her son, James Butts; her stepdaughters Darla Egleston and Tina Bartlett.
She was preceded in death by her children, Scott Ramburg and Rhonda Daniels, as well as her brother, Robert McDonald, and sister, Dale Ann Dodson.
Linda also leaves behind a legacy in her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and laughter throughout her life.
Linda’s life has been a rollercoaster, starting with her chance encounter with her beloved husband while flagging traffic in Stillwater.
Fate intervened, bringing them together again on the same day in Kingfisher.
Three days later, they married in a whirlwind romance and started their journey together.
They have been the ultimate dynamic duo ever since.
Linda was renowned for her limitless empathy, one of her most treasured traits. She was always eager to assist those who required it.
Tim recalls several instances when he returned home from work to discover that Linda offered shelter to strangers.
Her door was always open and she never refused anyone hungry or in need.
Even though Linda is no longer with us, her love and kindness continue to inspire us every day. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched, guiding us to live with compassion and empathy.
We carry her memory forward, cherishing the lessons she taught us and the warmth she shared.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later time.
Her family and friends greatly miss her and her memory will be cherished by all she touched.
