Monte had a special love for horses and cattle. Monte, his wife and daughters sacrificed throughout the years to not only continue his dad’s legacy, but also to build a legacy for himself.

Monte continued to farm in the Hennessey (Lacey) community until his passing.
His daughters and grandchildren plan to continue the Breckenridge farm and ranch legacy as he always dreamed.
He was well respected in his community of Hennessey and the surrounding communities as well.
Monte married Lydia Williams of Enid on May 23, 1980, and together they enjoyed more than 43 years of marriage.
To this union, they were blessed with three daughters: Monica (Maurice) Jones of Perkins (he brought four daughters and eight grandchildren); Melanie McKinnon of Hennessey with children Imani, Immanuel and Isaiah; and Miya (Robert) Puckett of Muskogee with children Micheal, Ra’Shaun and Monte’.
