Robert Gene Hosier, 85, of Kingfisher, passed away peacefully Dec. 31, 2023. He was born July 3, 1938, in Arapaho and was the son of the late William Clyde and Violet Bell. Robert was the father of two children, Robert Wayne Hosier and the late Roberta Elaine Nash.

Robert served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1966.

He worked on a dairy farm in his early years before becoming a truck driver.

Robert enjoyed camping trips, traveling and visiting museums.

In his downtime, he enjoyed watching westerns and car races. It did not matter what kind of races they were, as long as they were driving fast and turning left.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Charlene Hosier; daughter Roberta Elaine Nash; grandson Albert George Nash Jr.; siblings Joseph Ben Hosier, Henry Allen Hosier, Elsie Irene Hosier, William Allen Hosier, Bessie Ruth Peacock, Evelyn Joy Dud-ley; and half-siblings Violet June, Billy Lee, Leslie Irvan and Jenny V.

Robert is survived by his son Robert Wayne Hosier of Kingfisher; his two sisters, Lula Barton of Kingfisher and Marybelle Bryant of Arnett; his two stepchildren, Wesley Willms of Kingfisher and Vicki Barton of Richland; his granddaughter, Bessie Renee Ann Gasal of Yukon; and his great-grandchildren Michael Wyatt Claassen and Jayden Wayne Stafford.

Robert also had an abundance of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at the Kingfisher Cemetery at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
