Ronald Gene Horn
Ronald Gene Horn, 84, of Dover, passed away peacefully at Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher on Jan. 22, 2020, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Gene was born Jan. 21, 1936, near Dover to Harvey and Bertha Horn.
He attended and graduated from Dover High School, a graduate of the class of 1954.
Gene worked over 20 years for Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. in Bethany and Kerr McGee Corp. near Crescent for many years and 19 years as a rural route carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
Gene also farmed and raised cattle in addition to his full-time occupations.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Bertha Horn.
Gene is survived by his five children: Ron Horn, Randy Horn, Kim Burright, Tracey Nelson and Steven Horn and their spouses.
Gene is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lawanna Walsh and Donna Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services for Gene are 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Dover Christian Church.
The family requests donations to Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of fl owers.
