Sharon Pollard

The funeral for Sharon Pollard, 75, was Tuesday, Nov. 21, at First Baptist Church of Hennessey and officiated by Rev. Shane Bennett. Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home. Sharon was born in Guthrie on Feb. 2, 1948, to Norman and Irene Payne Henning and died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at her home in Hennessey.

She married Stephen “Steve” Pollard at Central Baptist Church in Crescent Jan. 28, 1978.

Sharon worked as the cafeteria director for Hennessey Public Schools for several years.

She is survived by her husband Steve of the home; three daughters, Tiffany Tillman of Hennessey, Stephanie Pollard of Hennessey, Heather Pollard of Dover; one brother, Troy Henning, and two sisters, Connie Henning and Leta Hurst, all of Crescent; three grandchildren, Abby Steward and husband Jacob, Patrick Tillman and Meagan Tillman; three great-grandchildren, Parker Steward, Sammy Steward and Jovie Steward.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Kenny, and one sister-in-law, Carol.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to First Baptist Church with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
