Sheryl Joyce (Kirtley) Coy, 62, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.

She was born Oct. 12, 1959, in Kingfisher to Wendell J. and Thelma Lee (Hastey) Kirtley.

She grew up in Kingfisher and was a 1977 graduate of Kingfisher High School.

Sherri earned her bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in medical records administration and for over 40 years worked as the director of medical records at Red Rock Behavioral Health Center.

She professed her faith in the Lord at a young age and kept a strong relationship with Him throughout her life.

Sherri loved her family, her babies, fishing, sewing and baking.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sherri is survived by her daughter Cara Phillips and husband Wade; son Brock Coy and wife RaNae; brother Ross Kirtley and wife Jody; sister Debbie Kirtley; nephews B.J. Kirtley and wife Melissa, Nathan Kirtley and wife Callie, Nick Emerson and wife Courtney, Alex Emerson and wife Madison, Sam Emerson and wife Katlin, Rusty Alcorn, Matt Cornelius; niece Jessi Cornelius; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 3, at McNeil’s Funeral Service in Mustang, with burial following at Kingfisher Cemetery.
