    Steven ‘Steve’ Loper

Steven “Steve” Grant Loper, 66, was born on April 7, 1953, in Wichita, Kan.

He was the youngest child of father Sammie D. Loper and mother Letha J. (Britt) Loper Pierson.

He passed away Feb. 5, 2020.

Steve graduated from Kingfisher High School and the University of Oklahoma where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Steve will be remembered for his love of his family, his passion for history, and how he always looked forward to the college football season and watching his favorite team, the Oklahoma Sooners.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dianna (DJ); daughter Rachael and son Eric. Steve also leaves behind his sister Linda Tucker and her husband Bill; grandchildren, Derek, Gavin, Garrett, Grant, Dillon, Danielle, Grace and Dakota; mother in-law Helen Garcia and in-laws Kathy, Marti, Bruce, Georgia, Craig, Evelyn, Yvonne and Larry, as well as his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

His parents, brother Joe, sister-in-law Gloria Russell and brother-in-law Donnie Bevill preceded him in death.

Celebration of life services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
