5 Jackets earn soccer All-State

Seven Kingfisher High School seniors pulled in honors when the Oklahoma Soccer Coaches Association recently announced its 2024 All-State teams.

Lady Jackets named to the Class 3A West squad were goalie Zoey Padilla, and midfielders Kylee Rojas and Hannah Click.

KHS boys selected to the Class 3A West team were goalie Diego Muñoz and forward Reid Witt.

J.W. Struck was an honorable mention selection for the boys and Jackie Rivera for the girls.

The Class 3A All-State games will be Saturday, June 8, at Fort Gibson. The girls will play at 6 p.m. and the boys at 8.

Padilla was the keeper for all but one half in the 13 games KHS played this season.

She totaled 80 saves and even scored a goal during that half outside of goal.

Rojas tied for the team lead in goals and assists with 11 and four, respectively.

She was tied in assists with Click, who also scored three goals.

Witt was fourth on the boys team with seven goals.

He was second with four assists. Muñoz accounted for 109 saves in goal for the Jackets.
