Mueggenborg went 11 of 17 from the field, including 4 of 6 from 3-point range.

He helped the Warriors jump to a 31-14 lead after a quarter.

That lead extended to 60-25 by halftime, then continued to grow.

Mueggenborg was one of three Warriors to score in double figures as they improved to 14-2 overall and 3-0 in the Three Rivers Conference.

Hunter Mueggenborg, P.K. Harris and Cooper Bomhoff knocked down 10 points apiece.

Bomhoff and Tanner McMillin made two 3-pointers apiece. For the game, Okarche was 9 of 22 from 3-point range while Thomas was just 3 of 17.

Overall, the Terriers shot 33 percent while the visitors made 56 percent of their shots.

Okarche earns tough win over Lady Terriers

Thomas made them earn it, but Okarche’s Lady Warriors remained perfect in Three Rivers Conference games.

Behind a strong third-quarter push, Okarche extended its lead then held on in the fourth for a 49-44 win on the Lady Terriers’ home court.

Winners of six in a row, the Lady Warriors are now 3-0 in conference games on top of winning the conference tournament.

Thomas outscored Okarche 14-11 to pull within 26-22 at halftime.

Then Tyson Endres scored 10 of her 12 points in the third quarter as the Lady Warriors built some cushion by extending their lead to nine.

Okarche was just 3 of 8 from the free throw line in the fourth, but still held off Thomas’ surge.

Endres made both of her free throws in the final stanza.

Jalie Rother made her lone attempt as she completed a three-point play.

She led all scorers with 18 points.

Jadyn Rother scored 12 as Okarche improved its overall record to 12-4.

Both Rothers and Ruby VanDenDriessche scored five points each in the first quarter as their team got out to a 15-8 advantage.
