Kingfisher’s big homestand continued throughout the week as the Lady Jackets went 3-2, including splitting four district softball games.

Two district wins were delivered on Monday as KHS run-ruled John Marshall by a pair of matching 12-0 scores.

Blanchard visited on Tuesday and headed back south with victories of 10-1 and 9-1.

That put KHS at 2-5 in District 4A-4 games.

Blanchard is 5-1 in the district.

John Marshall is winless on the season and the Lady Jackets got just two at-bats in each game.

Gentry Taylor had the team’s only hit in the opener as the Lady Jackets drew 10 walks.

Siera Stitt had a pair of RBIs and five other KHS players had one each.

Merrin Evans didn’t give up a hit and struck out six batters for the win.

The team managed five hits in the nightcap.

Hope Stafford was 2 for 2 and drove in four runs.

Taylor and Addison Willson had 2 RBIs each.

Bella Gomez and Evans scored twice apiece.

Natalie Dick grabbed the win. She allowed two hits and struck out six batters in three innings.

KHS was limited to four total hits against the Lady Lions.

Three came in the first game of the day and two of those were off the bat of Mya Dewberry.

Stitt delivered the team’s other hit.

The game was scoreless until Blanchard plated two runs in the third.

Back-to-back errors by the visitors in the bottom half allowed Taylor Mills to score and cut Blanchard’s lead in half.

The Lady Lions answered with four more runs in the fourth as part of an 8-0 run to close the game.

Jancee Matthews had Kingfisher’s lone hit in the second game of the night.

Dewberry, who reached on an error, scored in the seventh inning when Blanchard booted a bunt attempt by Evans.

KHS was 8-9 overall after Tuesday’s games.

That record went to 9-9 on Thursday when the Lady Jackets came-from-behind to beat Okarche 8-4.

Okarche scored the game’s first three runs be- fore KHS tied it up in the bottom of the third inning.

Taylor Mills tripled home a pair of runs, then scored on Natalie Dick’s infield groundout.

The Lady Jackets took the lead for good in the fifth.

Mills beat the throw home to score on Evans’ bunt and then a Bella Gomez groundout scored Harper Evans, who was a courtesy runner.

KHS tacked on three more runs in the sixth.

Willson’s bunt led to an Okarche throwing error as Gentry Taylor and Matthews crossed home plate. Willson later scored on a passed ball for an 8-3 lead.

Okarche managed to plate a run in the top of the first inning as Gabi Battista’s double scored Emma Stover.

Stover scored again in the third inning on a KHS error and Brittney Darst made it 3-0 on a passed ball.

Darst added an RBI single in the top of the seventh before Dick was able to close out the game.

Dick threw the final four innings, gave up four hits and struck out four batters. Evans pitched the first three frames.

Okarche had nine total hits, two each by Nance, Darst and Harper White.

KHS had just five hits in the game, but took advantage of five Okarche miscues.

The Lady Warriors were 4-5 after the loss.
