Even without Abby Swart, Lomega put on a shooting exhibition last week.

The Lady Raiders made 16 3-pointers Tuesday during a 96-32 road win at Vici.

Eight different Lomega players notched at least one 3-pointer and three of them made three or more.

Four of those treys left the hands of Jenny Peneran, who got the start in Swart’s absence.

Swart was injured in a fall during Lomega’s win over Garber last Saturday in Enid.

“We’re still not sure if we’ll have her this weekend,” said coach Kevin Lewallen, referencing Lomega’s home games with Timberlake and Seiling on Friday and Saturday (after press time of this edition).

“She’s pretty sore; her neck is hurting her pretty bad right now.”

A freshman guard, Peneran delivered 14 points.

Paige Wheeler and Darcy Roberts sparked Lomega’s fast start.

Wheeler nailed two 3-pointers and Roberts three more in the first quarter as the Lady Raiders raced to a 35-7 advantage.

Wheeler made three treys overall as part of her 17 points.

Roberts’ trio of treys were part of a 13-point first quarter for her. She finished with a game-high 21 points as Lomega won its eighth straight.

Cadie McCracken led Vici with 11 points.

The Lady Raiders entered the weekend with a 21-1 record.

No. 16 Vici held on for a 57-51 victory over the Raiders in a showdown of ranked Class B squads.

The Raiders led 16-14 after a quarter as Lance Yost and Ben Marsh combined for 15 points.

Vici claimed the lead in the second and made it stick as No. 20 Lomega dropped to 15-7 on the season.

Marsh and Yost both scored 15 for the Raiders, who made eight 3-pointers as a team.

Kelby Ott accounted for three of them to score his nine points.

Vici got 19 points from Eli Randall, all but four of them in the second half.

Kaleb Moss added 13 for the Indians.
