Kingfisher’s Ally Stephenson was one of several local athletes recently named to the Little All-City track and field team for 2022.

Little All-City is comprised of Class 4A and below in the counties surrounding Oklahoma City.

Stephenson was named to the first team in the high jump and was also named as a finalist for the female track and field athlete of the year.

The University of Oklahoma signee won her third state championship in the high jump at last month’s Class 4A state track and field meet.

Stephenson was also a state champ in the long jump and the runner-up in both the 100 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles.

She finished behind Tuttle’s Madi Surber in those events. Surber won four golds at the state meet and was ultimately named the female track and field athlete of the year.

Joining Stephenson on the girls’ first team were Kinidi Taylor and Kinzie Bell of Crescent.

Taylor was named for the long jump and Bell the discus.

Taylor repeated as the 2A long jump champ, was a part of two state champion relay teams and was the state runner-up in the 100.

Bell was the state runner-up in the discus.

Cashion’s Issy Reeves was named to the second team in the shot put, an event in which she was the runner-up at the 2A meet.

For the boys, Kingfisher’s Braxton Mecklenburg was named to the first team in the high jump. Mecklenburg finished as the 4A runner-up in the event for the second time.
