Stover, Mueggenborg named TRC MVPs

Much like the regular- season championships, Okarche swept the Most Valuable Player honors for the Three Rivers Conference.
Senior Emma Stover was named 2022-23 MVP for the girls and freshman Jett Mueggenborg for the boys after a recent vote of the conference’s coaches.
Stover, who recently earned OGBCA All-State honors, averaged 17.5 points and 8.0 rebounds a game for the Lady Warriors.
They finished the year 24-6 and advanced to the Class A state semifinals.
Okarche went undefeated in the conference regular season and also won the conference tournament.
Stover was joined on the all-conference team by teammates Jadyn Rother, Jalie Rother and Tyson Endres.
Other Kingfisher County players making all-conference were Lauren Jenkins and Megan Shafer of Cashion and Katie Kennedy of Hennessey.
Mueggenborg helped lead the Okarche boys to the state tournament for the first time since 2019.
He led the Warriors with 16.4 points a game while also grabbing 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.2 steals.
Okarche ended the year 26-3 after falling in the state quarterfinals.
The Warriors were runners- up to Hennessey in the conference tournament, but defeated the Eagles in their regular-season matchup to win that title.
Joining Mueggenborg on the all-conferece team were Hunter Mueggenborg, PK Harris and Easton Roby of Okarche.
Hennessey’s Layton Choate, Jael Torres and James Sims also earned all-conference nods as did Jackson Vandruff and Nathan Nabavi of Cashion.
