22 and 28.

The first number represents the amount of turnovers the Kingfisher girls basketball team had Saturday at Weatherford.

The second is the number of points the host team scored off those turnovers.

That proved to be the difference as No. 4 Weatherford pulled away from sixthranked KHS late in a 65-47 win in what was potentially a playoff preview.

Both teams landed in the same area when the OSSAA announced playoff assignments the day before.

If the two teams do meet up, the Lady Jackets will not only need to find a way to better take care of the ball, but also to contain Jordan Hoffman and Addy Hoffman.

The pair of juniors - who are sisters - combined to score 47 points for the Lady Eagles.

Jordan poured in 28 of those, including 11 in the second quarter when Weatherford closed with an 8-0 run to turn a four-point deficit into a 30-26 halftime lead.

Kingfisher had four straight turnovers during that run.

The Lady Jackets stayed in it during the third.

Peyton Walker hit two 3-pointers and scored eight points and Allison Green nailed her fourth trey of the day as KHS was within 45-40 entering the fourth.

But Weatherford cranked up the pressure in the fourth and Kingfisher couldn’t keep up.

The Lady Eagles closed with a 21-7 run.

Addy Hoffman scored seven in the quarter and finished with 19.

The Lady Jackets were aggressors early, held Weatherford to three field goals and led 15-13 after a quarter.

Green scored seven and Addy Matthews four during that run.

Kina Frost came off the bench early and played nearly all of the first half.

She responded with six points in the half, one that saw Kingfisher lead 26-22 with less than half the second quarter remaining.

Then the wheels came off as Weatherford’s pressure turned into points.

Jordan Hoffman also had four steals. Addy Hoffman added six rebounds as Weatherford moved to 18-2.

KHS dropped to 14-4.

The Lady Jackets got 17 from Green and 10 from Frost.

Walker scored eight points.
