Jana Wilburn
Jana Wilburn, 68, of Woodward, passed away Monday, Aug. 7, at her home.
A funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 11, at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wilburn officiating.
Graveside services were Friday at the Kingfisher Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Jana Marie (Kadavy) Wilburn was born Fev. 13, 1955, to Malvin Frank and Merle Jneanne (Cunningham) Kadavy in Kingfisher.
She grew up in the Big Four area, attended Big Four Elementary and graduated from Kingfisher High School.
Jana then attended college where she received her bachelor’s degree.
She was united into marriage to Steve Wilburn on June 1, 1985, in Kingfisher.
The couple then made their home in Omega, Plainview, Texas, Elk City, Enid, Weatherford and Madill before settling in Woodward for the last four years.
To this union they were blessed with two children.
Jana worked as an art teacher.
She often enjoyed reading, crafting, painting and sewing. Spending time with her daughter and grandchildren is what brought her the most joy.
Jana is survived by her loving husband Steve of the home; one daughter, Kate White and husband Edric of Woodward; her mother, Jneanne Kadavy of Kingfi sher; three brothers, Jerry Kadavy and wife Kathy of Kingfisher, Kevin Kadavy and wife Lisa of Edmond, Kent Kadavy and wife Denna of Kingfisher; three grandchildren, William, Ezekiel and Bearett White, all of Woodward; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son Joe Wilburn, father Malvin Kadavy, grandparents Joe and Nellie Cunningham.
