Raiders’ Marsh lights it up again
Ben Marsh is officially red-hot.
The Lomega junior scored 34 points Tuesday to lead the Raiders past visiting Kremlin-Hillsdale 75-41.
The Broncs had no answer for Marsh, who scored at least seven points in every quarter.
He was coming off a Canton tournament performance in which he scored 31 points in each of the first two rounds and then 18 points in the championship game.
He had 16 at halftime as Lomega held a 36-27 advantage.
In the third, Chase Burton and Trevor Lentz kicked in a combined 14 points as the Raiders pushed their advantage to 18 points.
Lomega put the game out of reach with a 31-point fourth quarter.
Marsh and Burton scored nine apiece in the frame.
As a team, Lomega made 12 3-pointers.
Burton and Marsh had five apiece.
Burton finished the night with 23 points while Lentz scored 11.
Lomega moved to 6-4 with the win. The Raiders have won five of their last six games.
Lady Raiders win 9th straight
The scoring was more balanced for the Lomega girls as they won 75-41.
The victory was Lomega’s ninth straight.
Eleven different players scored and were led by Abby Swart’s 17 points.
She made four 3-pointers, half of which came in the first quarter when Lomega got out to a 29-13 lead.
Chloe Meier added 13 points while Hadley Ott scored nine.
Lomega was 9-1 after the win.
