The funeral for Katherine Pauline Martin, 90, will be held at the Hennessey First Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, officiated by Rev. Shane Bennett and Jimmy Berkenbile.

Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home.

Pauline was born in Perkins on Aug. 21, 1934, to Hubert Clyde Rodman and Mildred Fern Gilkerson.

She passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at her home in Hennessey surrounded by her loved ones and friends.

She married Darrel Martin in Cushing on Feb. 27, 1955.

Pauline managed the business she shared with her husband, D&E Tank Trucks. They sold that business in 1991.

For fun, she worked at C-Stop for years with her daughter Paula and granddaughter Kerri.

She was a member of the Hennessey Lioness Club and also an active member of the First Baptist Church.

Pauline loved watching OU softball, OU football and OKC Thunder basketball.

She also loved to crochet and made an abundance of afghans for family and friends over the years.

Pauline was known to color on her tablet for hours. Every Thursday she would enjoy coffee with her “cackling hens” friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Paula Patrick of Kingfisher; two grandchildren Bryan Patrick of Kimball, Neb., and Kerri Washam of Cypress, Texas; two great-grandsons, Blake Patrick and Chace Washam of Cypress, Texas; one sister, Maxine Conners of Sapulpa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Darrel and two brothers, Bill Rodman and Carrol Rodman.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Community Action Team with the funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
