Read moreA ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Cheyenne-Arapaho Emergency Response Center in Kingfisher, constructed on the site of the former Kingfisher Regional Hospital on South Ninth Street. The tribal governor and lieutenant governor, along with other dignitaries, will be present at the event, which will include public tours of the facility (masks required inside the building).The tribe’s original concept for a community wellness center presented to the Kingfisher City Commission in 2019 evolved into a pandemic response center to qualify for CARES Act funding.
