8 a.m. and 9 a.m. — The Great Race sponsored by the Hennessey Lions Club. Contestants should meet at 8 a.m. on the back side of the elementary school’s playground and must sign up in advance at Town Hall. Entry fee is now $50 (reduced cost from $75 thanks to donations) for each three-person team with proceeds to the Back-to-School Bash. Only 10 teams may compete. The first challenge starts with water kickball and other challenges are “secret,” said Shelley Burch, Hennessey Lions Club chair for those games.
