TEMPORARY PROBLEM – Much-needed (and much-forecasted) rains found their way to Kingfi sher County on Friday morning. The expected weather event prompted two county schools to play their Week 8 football games on Thursday (see Page 2). When the fi rst round of projected rain hit Friday morning, more than 2 inches fell in less than two hours, causing some fl ash fl ooding on U.S. Highway 81/Main Street on the city’s north end. The Kingfisher County Exhibit Building was filled with great music, great food and some great dancing last Saturday night as The Chisholm and Kingfisher County 4-H hosted a “Barn Dance.” Working chuck wagons provided a chicken fried steak dinner and guests were treated to the sounds of Mackynsie McKedy.
