Read moreThe Reagan Roof era for Kingfisher High School football began on Monday. Football teams in Oklahoma could hold their first practices of the season and Kingfisher wasted little time as the Yellowjackets took the field at 7 a.m. for an hour of conditioning before returning at 3:30 p.m. for a more traditional practice. The two-a-days were to continue through Wednesday before the team began practicing after school on Thursday, the first day of classes for students. On Friday, the team will be able to dress in pads and have a full-contact practice for the first time. The Jackets will hold their “Friday Night Lights” practice at 6:30 p.m. at the high school football field. The public is invited to attend as the Kingfisher Touchdown Club will be serving free hot dogs and water.
