Renee’ Jeen (Buhr) Burpo was born on March 21, 1962, in Walbridge, Ohio, to Bernard (Bernie) Buhr, Sr. and Betty Stapleton Buhr.

She passed away on July 7, 2020, with her family by her side at her home, after battling pancreatic cancer. She was 58.

Renee’ grew up in Toledo, Ohio, before moving to Oklahoma in 1980.

There she met the love of her life, Steve, whom she married June 8, 1985.

Renee’ referred to her and Steve as Carpenters of Love.

She worked in the dental field for 35 years. She retired from Kingfisher Dental Designs where she worked under Dr. Jeffrey Danner as lead assistant, milling and creating crowns.

Her interests included raising guineas, chickens and her beloved peacocks.

She loved working in her flower gardens, waterfall, stream and ponds that she and Steve built as Carpenters of Love.

As a devoted mother and grandmother, she loved cooking family dinners in her prized kitchen that she designed and they built together.

She loved returning home to Toledo twice per year to visit family and friends.

Renee’ loved going on trips to Colorado, exploring the mountains and searching for waterfalls with Steve.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Steve, who resides in their beloved home in Dover.

She is also survived by their children, Bryce Burpo (Nicole Fosnaught), Damond (Amy) Burpo and Olivia (Jeremy) Briscoe; grandchildren, Austin Burpo, Taylor (Macey) Burpo, Jordan (Ashley) Burpo, Lauren (Payton) Denton, Sadessa Sierra, Isaiah Sierra, Lazariah Robinson and Ezra Briscoe; brothers Max Jobe and Bernie Buhr, Jr.; sisters Brenda (Bob) McDonagh, Debbie (Dave) Barteck, Julie Buhr and Sandy (John) Almond; honorary daughters Diana (Hale) Edds and Casey Ritz; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Matt Barteck and grandson Jayde Rodriguez.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 13, at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building in Kingfisher.

A graveside service will be held at Banner Cemetery in Dover with Pastor Damond Burpo officiating.

Services are entrusted to Sanders Funeral Service of Kingfisher.
