Kingfisher County golf roundup
A 327 was good for fifth place for the Kingfisher boys in Thursday’s Western Athletic Conference Tournament at Prairie West Golf Course in Weatherford.
Elk City won the conference crown with a 292.
Weatherford was second with a 312, two strokes ahead of Clinton and five better than Bethany.
The Elks’ Hunter Womack and Tristen Dunn both had rounds of 1-over-par 72.
Womack won in a playoff to become the conference champ.
Their scores were just two ahead of four golfers who tied at 74, including Kingfisher’s Luciano Orozco.
The senior Jackets took fourth place in a playoff.
Cale Reagan tied for 14th with his 80. River Roof shot an 86, Hayes White an 87 and Hagen Owens a 92 for the Jackets.
Playing as individuals for the Jackets, Kasen Blair fired a 98, Jayden Vinot a 99 and Hayden Todd a 103.

Kingfisher’s girls took fourth in their conference tournament Thursday, also at Prairie West in Weatherford.
KHS shot a 405 in a tournament Clinton won with a 353.
Weatherford was runner- up with a 370 and Bethany third at 390.
Layla Kroener paced Kingfisher with her 93, which tied her for eighth place.
Ryan Scammahorn tied for 13th with a 97 while Addison Johnson shot a 104 and Callie Blair a 111.

Okarche took fourth Wednesday in the Clinton Red Tornado Classic boys golf tournament at Riverside Golf Course.
The Warriors shot a 322 in a tournament that featured 18 teams.
Crossings Christian won the team title with a 285 while Clinton was the runner- up at 308. Hydro-Eakly placed third with a 316.
Cy Collamore fired a 5-over-par 75 to lead the Warriors. His score tied him for ninth out of 91 golfers.
Another county golfer was tied with Collamore.
Dover senior Sam Wood also shot a 75.
Three golfers tied for the low round with even-par 70s.
Asher Schieber shot a 77 for the Warriors while Hudson Mueggenborg turned in an 82.
Both are juniors. Lane Rother fired an 88 and Garrett England a 116.

Wood shot a 7-over-par 78 on March 26 to place sixth in the Pioneer Mustang Invitatioanl at Meadowlake Golf Course in Enid.
There were 67 golfers in the field.
Chisholm’s Kael League was the medalist with a 69.
The Longhorns won the team title by 26 strokes with a 298.
Perry was the runner-up. Hennessey took fourth place with a 369.
Brayson Brinson had the low round for the Eagles as he shot an 86.
Tyson Root and Hagen Copeland both turned in a 94 while Jameson Ladwig had a 95.
George Witzke shot a 112 and Mason McGee, playing as an individual, had a 107.
