Ben Marsh’s first-half eruption led Lomega to its sixth win in seven games.

Marsh scored 26 points Friday as the Raiders thumped Deer Creek-Lamont 85-32 in a home victory.

The sophomore scored 22 points in the first half as Lomega claimed a 52-19 lead.

The Raiders were up 16-9 after the first quarter as Marsh scored 11 of his team’s points.

He added 11 more in the second as the Raiders erupted for 36 more points.

Kelby Ott nailed two 3-pointers and Jaxson Snowden scored eight in the quarter.

Both players finished with 12 points. Ott’s came on four made treys.

The Raiders also got nine points from Owen Duffy as they improved to 11-4 on the season.

Lady Raiders win big

Logic would say Deer Creek-Lamont, a team with just two wins over OSSAA schools, wouldn’t give the Lomega Lady Raiders much of game.

Logic held up. Lomega started fast and maintained the momentum Friday in a 91-12 victory over the Lady Eagles.

Abby Swart and Darcy Roberts combined for 19 points in the first quarter, which would have been more than enough to claim victory.

Five other Lady Raiders scored in the quarter as Lomega led 32-4.

It was 53-7 by halftime. Swart scored 15 to lead four Lady Raiders in double figures.

Roberts contributed 14 while Kate Myers and Kamryn Turner scored 11 apiece.

Lomega made 11 3-pointers in the game.

Turner knocked down three of them while Swart, Monse Rivera, Chloe Meier and Roberts had two apiece.

Lomega was coming off its first loss of the season the previous Saturday at Hammon. The Lady Raiders were 14-1 after the victory.
