Okarche wrapped up the regular season - and a pair of conference titles - in beating a county rival on Tuesday.

Cashion hung tough in both games, but it was Okarche pulling out a 54-40 victory in the girls contest and then the Warriors a 64-56 win in the boys game.

Both Okarche teams went 6-0 in Three Rivers Conference games this season, garnering them the regular season titles.

The Lady Warriors were also the conference tournament champs while the boys were runners-up to Hennessey.

Cashion’s girls had no plans to just hand over the perfect mark to the Lady Warriors.

It was a 28-23 lead for Okarche at halftime and Cashion pulled within one point in the third quarter.

But the plethora of turnovers finally caught up to Cashion as Okarche began to pull away late in the third and the fourth quarter.

Emma Stover played a major part in it.

The senior post player scored 10 points in the third and added seven more in the fourth when Okarche outscored its guests 24-6.

Stover ended her night with a game-high 27 points.

Jalie Rother added another nine points while Jadyn Rother and Tyson Endres scored seven apiece.

Lauren Jenkins kept Cashion in it throughout the first half, where she scored 11 of her 13 points.

Megan Shafer scored 10 of her 12 points in the second half.

Okarche ended the regular season with a 19-5 mark.

Cashion was 9-12 after the loss and finished 4-3 in conference play.

Turnovers also played a big role in the boys’ contest.

Cashion’s 23 miscues led to 20 points for the Warriors as they concluded their regular season with a 22-2 mark.

Despite the turnovers, Cashion found itself in the thick of it.

The Wildcats were up three after a quarter and tied at halftime.

They were bolstered by monster games from Nathan Nabavi and Jackson Vandruff.

Nabavi scored a gamehigh 22 points, including three 3-pointers.

Vandruff added 14 points and also had 16 rebounds.

The Wildcats got another 10 points from Kamden Miller.

Okarche countered with Wyatt Pinkerton, Hunter Mueggenborg and Jett Mueggenborg.

Pinkerton went 4 of 7 from downtown and led his team with 18 points.

Hunter Mueggenborg added two more treys and scored 14 while Jett Mueggenborg scored 10.

The teams were tied seven times and the game featured six different lead changes.

The game was tied 39all early in the fourth, but Okarche used a 13-3 run to take control.

Cashion was 11-10 after the loss, including 4-3 in the conference games.

Okarche only had six conference games due to its contests with Crescent being canceled due to weather.
