Three Rivers Conference Girls The conference tournament will have a new champion for the first time since 2019.

Four-time defending champion Okarche was knocked off 52-45 by Fairview in Thursday’s quarterfi nal at the Eagle Event Center in Hennessey.

Up by seven entering the fourth, the Lady Jackets were able to hold off Okarche’s rally by going 13 of 16 from the foul line.

Ruby VanDenDriessche and Scout Payne scored five apiece in the fourth as Okarche tried to close the game.

Jadyn Rother led the Lady Warriors with 12 points.

VanDenDriessche finished with nine while Payne scored eight.

The loss knocked Okarche (5-6) into the consolation bracket as the Lady Warriors played Crescent late Friday morning.

Two county teams Cashion and Hennessey - made their way into the semifinals.

Hennessey got there with a 55-50 overtime victory against Watonga.

Hennessey led by nine after three quarters, but were outscored 14-5 in the fourth.

Once in OT, Hennessey got a big 3-pointer from Kadee Meeker and a bucket from Star Torres and held Watonga to just one point.

Ally Painter led all scorers with 19 points. She had at least two field goals in all four regulation quarters.

Emma Copeland made four 3-pointers and scored 14 while Meeker finished with nine.

Cashion is the tournament’s top seed and looked the part as it thumped Crescent 64-19 in the opener.

Already up 11 after a quarter, the Lady Wildcats outscored Crescent 16-1 in the second and continued to build its lead in the second half.

Megan Shafer paced the team with 16 points.

Lauren Jenkins added 12 and Laynee Woody 10.

Cashion played Fairview and Hennessey took on OBA in Friday’s semifinal games (after press time).

Boys

Okarche was on fire from long range, which meant Oklahoma Bible Academy had no shot.

The Warriors made 14 of 29 3-point attempts in cruising to the 80-24 victory in the tournament’s opening round.

Seven different Warriors made at least one trey, led by Easton Roby’s 4 of 5 output.

Roby scored 12 and was one of four Okarche players to reach double figures.

Wyatt Pinkerton scored all nine of his points from beyond the arc.

Jett Mueggenborg made two treys and led all scorers with 16.

Hunter Mueggenborg (2 of 4) joined Roby in scoring 12 while Caden Schieber (1 of 2) added 11 points. Roby also led the team with eight boards.

Okarche led 24-4 after a quarter and 50-11 by halftime.

The Warriors were set to play Cashion in Friday night’s semifinal (after press time).

Cashion clawed its way back from a 17-point third-quarter deficit Thursday to beat Crescent 53-48 in overtime.

The biggest deficit was midway through the third before Cashion closed the quarter strong to cut it deficit to six.

The Wildcats then outscored Crescent 11-5 in the fourth and 6-1 in OT.

Drake Woody led the way with 17 points while Nathan Nabavi scored 14.

Cole Tichenor added nine points.

It was the second straight game for Cashion to win in overtime and the fourth overtime victory for the Wildcats (6-2) this season.

Defending champion and top-seeded Hennessey cruised into the semifinals 85-25 victory against Watonga.

The hosts gave up just seven points in the first half in mounting a 47-point lead.

Camdyn Richardson led all scorers with 18 points, all of which came in the first half. He made three 3-pointers and scored 14 in the second quarter.

Garett Vinson added 12 while James Sims and Jael Torres scored 11 apiece.

Brandon Rodriguez contributed 10 points as Hennessey (7-1) won its sixth straight game.

The Eagles were set to play Fairview in the semifinals (after press time). The Yellowjackets beat Minco 66-54 in their opener.

Mulhall-Orlando Invitational Lucas Conrady had a massive game to help his coach get a milestone win.

Conrady scored 31 points Thursday to lead Dover to a 44-33 victory over Verden in the quarterfinals of the Mulhall- Orlando Invitational.

The victory moved Dover to 9-4 on the season and was the 300th career victory for head coach Jared Reese.

In his 15th year as a head coach, Reese is 300-88.

Reese is in his first year with the Longhorns. He got a bulk of his wins (248) in a 10-year stint at Kingfisher. He also got a chunk of his losses (22) in his first season as a head coach with Blackwell.

The Longhorns had just three points in the first quarter, but began to warm up in the second.

Conrady scored 10 points as the Longhorns took a three-point lead.

He kept it going in the second half.

The junior added 13 of Dover’s 16 points in the third and then five more points in the fourth.

Casen Buck added nine points for the Longhorns, who were set to play Class B’s seventh-ranked Varnum in Friday’s semifinals (after press time).

The Lady Longhorns had a much easier time in their quarterfinal as they blasted Carney 79-22.

The barrage started early as Dover made six first-quarter 3-pointers and got out to a 27-2 lead.

Karlee Harviston made three of those early treys and five overall as she notched 23 points.

Katelyn Harviston added 21 points while Ashley Gamez scored 16 and Rylee Buck 13.

As a team, Dover made 14 3-pointers.

Warrior Classic

Lomega mounted a furious rally in the fourth quarter, but eventually fell short in overtime.

Host Hammon outscored the Raiders 15-8 in the extra period to pull out a 69-62 victory in the quarterfinal round.

The Warriors led 45-34 after a quarter, but Lomega closed the deficit with a 20-9 run.

It came with the aid of four 3-pointers, two by Chase Burton.

Lance Yost added another and scored seven points in the fourth quarter.

But Hammon got big treys from Lane Johnston and Tyson Higgins in the OT period.

Johnston led the Warriors with 21 points.

Yost scored 17 to lead Lomega while Ben Marsh added 16 and Burton 12.

Lomega played Boise City in Friday’s consolation semifinal (after press time).

The Lady Raiders moved one step closer to a rematch with Hammon.

They defeated Shattuck 76-43 in Thursday’s quarterfi nal.

Three Lady Raiders scored in double figures and two more just missed it.

Paige Wheeler scored 17, including seven in the first quarter as Lomega built a 26-11 lead.

The advantage was 21 by halftime and 30 by the end of the third.

Bree Yost added 15 points while Abby Swart scored 12.

Jenny Penaran and Aliana Lawson added nine points apiece as Lomega won for the 12th straight time.

The Lady Raiders played Texhoma in Friday’s semifi nal. A win there likely pits them against top-seeded Hammon, which not only beat Lomega in the finals of this tournament last season, but also in the Class B title game.
