George Bennett “Ben” Pickle passed away Aug. 22, 2019, in Kingfisher.

Ben was born June 20, 1965, to Bill and Marilyn Pickle. Ben grew up on the family farm northwest of Dover and attended Dover Public School from kindergarten through 12th grade.

After graduation, Ben went to work in the oilfield for Farrar Construction. He became an exceptional heavy equipment operator and enjoyed the many years he spent working the pipeline circuit throughout the Midwest working in the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Idaho and Wyoming.

Ben came back to Oklahoma and finished his career working for his cousins at Farrar Construction. He enjoyed working for Randy, Steve, Mark and Tyler Farrar.

Ben’s greatest enjoyment was his children and grandchildren and loved each dearly.

Ben also loved to cook, raise a garden and fish. He found a new enjoyment volunteering to help the Dover Christian Church during Vacation Bible School.

Ben was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and husband. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Ben was preceded in death by his father, Bill.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Pickle of Dover; wife Priscilla of the home; daughters Calley and Madilyn and son Buddy; granddaughters Brooklyn and Bailey; brother Charlie Pickle and wife Alma of Dover; brother Terry Pickle and wife Darlene of Cumby, Texas; sister Vickie Maesias of El Paso, Texas; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins along with many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Dover Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to aid with medical expenses. The donations can be made in Ben’s name to the Dover Christian Church.
